Ace interview/piece – its good that a lot of this history is starting to be documented because it often wasn’t at the time – partly I think because hardcore/jungle was so often dismissed then by those outside of the scene as a passing fad, even with the dance music press until they jumped on the post-Goldie/Roni bandwagon.
The original 12 of High Time/Blackmore is still one of my personal faves that I remember hearing played on Don FM all the time.
Likewise, hearing the Nookie remix for the first time when Frost played it on Kiss was another special moment – it took you original on a completely different direction!
